Newton LLM
Newton LLM is Mystilink’s in-house LLM platform: after you sign in, you can select Newton models in the desktop app and pay from a prepaid balance—no third-party vendor API keys required.
You can still use BYOK (bring-your-own vendor keys) to connect directly to OpenAI, Anthropic, and others. Both modes can coexist. BYOK setup: LLM providers.
Quick start
- Install and activate Mystilink desktop (see Getting started).
- Sign in with your Mystilink account on desktop.
- In Settings → Models (or the model picker), choose a Newton model.
- Start chatting. When balance is low, follow prompts to top up on the website.
Product page and top-up: Newton LLM, Dashboard balance.
Newton vs BYOK
| Newton LLM | BYOK (bring your own key) | |
|---|---|---|
| Keys | Account sign-in only; no vendor key | You supply and store keys locally |
| Request path | Inference on the Newton platform (Mystilink cloud) | Direct from your computer to the vendor you choose |
| Billing | Mystilink prepaid balance (USD), usage-based | You pay the third-party vendor |
| Session files | Still stored locally under .mystilink/ | Same |
When you use Newton, that turn’s prompts and replies are processed by Mystilink / the Newton platform. See Privacy & local data and the site Privacy policy.
Balance & top-up
- Currency is USD; charges use published input/output token rates against your prepaid balance.
- Per-model rates: Newton pricing table (live catalog, same source as Dashboard).
- Top up in whole US dollars on the Dashboard (usually minimum $5) via our supported payment channels.
- Check balance in desktop or Dashboard; insufficient balance may fail requests (e.g. top-up prompt / HTTP 402).
- Billing FAQ: Newton billing.
Quick troubleshooting
