LLMs & privacy

Yes—Newton LLM is Mystilink’s in-house LLM platform (sign-in, prepaid balance). You can also use BYOK: bring OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, etc. keys and connect directly from desktop. Both can coexist. See Newton LLM and LLM providers.

Conversation, chart, and profile files stay in local .mystilink/—there is no bulk cloud sync of the workspace.

Cloud services include account, activation, and payments. If you use Newton LLM, prompts and replies for that inference are processed by Mystilink / the Newton platform (see Privacy & local data). On the BYOK path, inference content goes directly to your vendor.

Where are API keys stored?​

BYOK keys stay on your device (workspace and user settings), masked in the UI. Do not share screenshots that show keys. On the Newton path, do not treat account login tokens as shareable “API keys.”

Who processes my inference content?​

  • BYOK: Content goes to your chosen vendor, under their privacy policy.
  • Newton: Content is processed by Mystilink / the Newton platform, under the Privacy policy.

Judge sensitive topics yourself when choosing a path.

Installers are public, but activation needs a valid Credential (register and purchase, or obtain trial access). Newton LLM also requires sign-in and balance; BYOK model costs are paid to the third party yourself.
